Alterations time

Today we took in Lea's wedding gown to get some alterations done. Dottie, the seamstress there, said that an over bustle as well as an under bustle would look best with her dress. Basically what they do is take the satin fabric of the train and do an under bustle where it's all hid under the gown and then they take the chiffon layer that has all the details of the train and do an over bustle so that those details will still show after it's pinned up. I think this is going to make her dress simply gorgeous. (Yes, I've seen her gown, up to a point and she's seen mine up to a certain point. We know that our outfits will compliment each other in style and coloring and a basic idea of what they look like on, but neither of us is allowed to see the other's outfit at the final fitting and we aren't going to see the other all dolled up with accessories, makeup and hair done until the day of our ceremony. We're not totally superstitious, but we still want to save some of that initial "first look" for the wedding day.
